A man was arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing onboard a Metro train after he turned himself in, police said.
Carlos Carillo-Martinez, 19, turned himself in at midnight on Thursday and “admitted to being the suspect on the flyer,” according to the LAPD.
He was booked at the 77th Division station following an interview. His bail was set for $2 million.
On Tuesday, officers responded to the University Park station in the 2400 block of South Flower Street at 3:44 p.m. When they got there, they found 27-year-old Jalil Illera with stab wounds.
Iller died at the hospital.
Investigators said the stabbing followed an altercation between Carillo-Martinez and Illera.
The investigation is ongoing.
