LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Sunset Boulevard was shut down Sunday night as Los Angeles deputies tried to diffuse a large crowd outside The Roxy.

Deputies responded just before 8 p.m.

The crowd was at the Roxy Theater to see hip-hop artist Yeat, who was a no-show at the event, according to multiple reports. It was also reported that the event was oversold and multiple people were trying to force their way inside.

"It appears the venue oversold the event," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Tracy Koerner told KABC. "Too many people and not enough tickets."

Officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department also responded to help deputies.

Sunset was closed for several hours while law enforcement officials tried to break up the crowd, according to CBS L.A.

No arrests or violence was reported.
