Detectives investigate death of homeless man in Sherman Oaks

LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 42-year-old homeless man whose body was found in a Sherman Oaks parking structure.

The victim was identified as James Wilson, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The man now identified as Wilson was “known to live on the streets in the Van Nuys area,” and was found dead just before 8:40 a.m. Monday in a parking structure in the 5700 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Responding officers “believed there could have been foul play involved in the death,” according to the LAPD. Detectives were called to the scene, where they discovered the man suffered wounds “consistent with injuries caused by a vehicle,” according to a department statement.
