On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers will play their first home game of the season against the Detroit Tigers.

While the game starts at 4:10 p.m., gates at the stadium will open at 1:10 p.m. Dodgers' spokesman Steve Brenner told KNX News’ Jon Baird that the championship banner would be raised, but that players will have their ring ceremony on Friday.

Josh Groban is set to sing the National Anthem, and there will be a flyover from two F-15C fighter jets from the 144th Fighter Wing in Fresno and two F-35A Lightning II fighter jets from the 63rd Fighter Squadron of Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, according to City News Service.

Before the first pitch, LAFD Capt. Jerry Puga and Pasadena Fire Department Capt. Jodi Slicker will unveil the 2024 World Series emblem.

It’s unclear who is throwing the first pitch.

Fans at the stadium may also take note of some of the renovations that happened during the off-season, including more technology, additions to the clubhouse, and more batting cages.

Baird spoke with Janet Marie Smith, the executive responsible for the upgrades.

“We were really proud to be able to take this off-season and focus on the underbelly of Dodger Stadium as a building that's over 60 years old,” she said. “ We didn't have the kind of player facilities that we felt were fitting for a club like the Dodgers, and we were happy that we were able to take this offseason, plan ahead, add an extra level to the clubhouse so that we have what Stan Kasten, our president and CEO, describes as a generational overhaul.”

When it comes to buying tickets, Baird reported that the cheapest tickets he saw were $134 for down the baselines.

Those attending the game can use Metro's Dodger Stadium Express, which is free.

Those watching the game from home can watch it on ESPN.
