Dodgers fans in Southern California flocked to their local sporting goods stores after the team advanced to the World Series Sunday night after a 10-5 win over the Mets.
KNX News’ Jon Baird went to a Dick’s Sporting Goods location in El Segundo where he reported the store had a long line Sunday after the game at 10 p.m. that they opened the store.
“It was busy,” one man told Baird. “Lines running towards the street. Maybe like 60,70 people came in and so they went ahead and opened the doors and [people] bought a bunch of merch. Sold out the hat It's just shirts and hoodies .”
The store restocked overnight before opening up shop at 7 a.m.

Baird spoke with a fan who managed to score some merchandise on Monday morning.
“I got the World Series cap, sweatshirt, T-shirt, and lanyard,” she said. “I couldn't help myself.”
The Dodgers and Yankees will face off for Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
