On Thursday, the Dodgers are expected to make a very public show of support for Los Angeles' immigrant community.
It’s unclear what time the announcement will be made.
It comes as ICE raids have been happening across L.A. city and county, and some fans have been bothered by the organization’s silence on the matter.
“I understand their neutrality. I understand that they don't want to put a spotlight or bullseye on themselves,” Raúl Claros with the Little Latin America USA Network told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian. “But the moment that they started taking a stand on the Spanish National Anthem, on the guy with the cultural scarf, on the young lady with the ‘No ICE’ sign, you took a stand.”
Claros, however, did thank Kiké Hernández, who released a statement on Instagram regarding the raids.
“I am saddened and infuriated by what’s happening in our country and our city,” he wrote. “Los Angeles and Dodger fans have welcomed me, supported me and shown me nothing but kindness and love. This is my second home. And I cannot stand to see our community being violated, profiled, abused and ripped apart. ALL people deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and human rights.”

At a pregame on June 13, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was asked about the raids and told reporters he didn’t know enough to “speak intelligently” on the matter.
