There is a flash flood warning in the San Gabriel Valley until at least 9 o'clock Monday.

KNX News' Nataly Tavidian was in Duarte, where many people are pretty confident they'll weather this storm.

The area was scorched by the Fish fire nearly seven years ago, but as  Tavidian reports, the vegetation has grown back.

One local was out on a walk in the rain to test her new rain boots, and said she and neighbors aren't too worried. "I think the K rails aren't necessary anymore, but I guess the city of Duarte does," she said.

Still, they must be prepared because the area is under an evacuation warning, meaning they must be ready to leave if authorities ask them to.

L.A. County Fire says they're not too concerned about mudslides, but Duarty has closed Mel Canyon Road between Brook Ridge and Fish Canyon Road.
