Five people have died and hundreds of structures have been destroyed in the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Pasadena.
Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger
said between 200 to 500 structures had been destroyed, and another 13,000
structures were at risk.

More than 32,500 residents were placed under evacuation orders in the nearby regions including Pasadena and Altadena, she said.
By Wednesday night, County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said that roughly 1,000 structures had been "damaged or destroyed" by the fire. Among the structures destroyed in the fire was the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center.
L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna confirmed Wednesday afternoon that five people had died in the fire. No additional information was released about the deaths.
L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said during a press conference early Wednesday morning that the fire also caused "a number of significant injuries."
During the press conference, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna revealed two people were arrested Wednesday morning after they were caught looting in the Eaton Fire burn area.
He also said the department's Altadena Station had to be evacuated and that it had some fire damage.
The fire, which erupted Tuesday night, was at 10,600 acres on Wednesday morning, according to the Angeles National Forest. Over 700 firefighters were assigned to the fire.
“The fire continues to dangerously burn both east and west with spot fires within the communities of Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre,” officials wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

KNX News’ Craig Fiegener reported that Two Palms Nursing Center on E Washington Blvd. in Pasadena was destroyed and that wheelchairs and stretchers used to help evacuate people were abandoned on the street. He added that 94 people escaped and no one was injured.

Another building that was destroyed in the fire was the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center, NBC 4 reported.
EVACUATION ORDERS
Mandatory evacuation orders were issued Tuesday night for Altadena Drive, Kinneloa Canyon Road, Outpost Lane, Glen Springs, Coolidge, Miranda, Roosevelt, Veranda and Kinclair Drive, according to the Angeles National Forest.
As of Wednesday morning, an evacuation order was issued for all of La Cañada Flintridge and residents were asked to evacuate immediately, according to the LASD Crescenta Valley Station.
The city of Glendale also issued an evacuation alert for residents of Chevy Chase Canyon and Glenoaks Canyon.
In Pasadena, evacuation orders were issued for residents north of Woodbury to I-210 and east of JPL Laboratories. Evacuation warnings were issued for residents north the I-210 and east of Angelus Crest to JPL.
ROAD CLOSURES
As of Wednesday morning, Angeles Crest Highway 2 was closed from La Cañada Flintridge to Angeles Forest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway was closed at Big Tujunga Road, according to the Angeles National Forest.
CLOSURES
La Cañada Flintridge City Hall is temporarily closed, but officials said city services will stay available via Virtual City Hall and ConnectLCF.
Classes were canceled Wednesday for schools in the Pasadena, Glendale, Alhambra, South Pasadena, San Marino, La Cañada, Burbank, Arcadia and Monrovia unified school districts. Caltech also closed its Pasadena campus "for all nonessential operations" and canceled classes.
