El Monte police officers Monday recovered a stolen airplane.

"Our graveyard shift patrol team responded to the San Gabriel Valley Airport to do a location check and located the stolen plane," according to a social media post Monday morning by the El Monte Police Department.

The plane had been stolen from an airport in La Verne sometime early Monday.

The aircraft was recovered, but no suspect information was immediately available, an El Monte PD watch commander said.
