Students and staff were evacuated from Olive Middle School in Baldwin Park due to a barricade situation involving an employee.
Officers with the Baldwin Park Police Department responded to school around 9:45 a.m. Police said that a female employee, who is believed to be unarmed, was causing a disturbance in the main office and barricaded herself.
The special weapons team and El Monte Police Department also responded.
Students were spotted sitting on the lawn outside the school before being moved to another school within walking distance from the middle school.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
