A brush fire in Burbank prompted an evacuation order before its progress was stopped.

The Bethany Fire was reported around 3:38 p.m. Tuesday near Amherst Drive and Bethany Road, according to the Burbank Fire Department.
While the fire was not initially threatening structures, officials later ordered evacuations.
An evacuation order was issued for Walnut Avenue above Bel Air Drive, as well as areas above Bel Aire Ballfield, including Bel Aire Drive, Vista Ridge and Starlight Circle, according to the fire department.
Evacuation warnings were issued for the area between Irving Drive and Magnolia Boulevard, just north of Kenneth Road.
All evacuation orders were lifted as of 5:25 p.m., according to the fire department, as firefighters remained at the scene to extinguish remaining hot spots and conduct cleanup operations.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, and there was no immediate word on how many acres had burned as of late afternoon.
