The arraignment for the woman accused in a murder-for-hire plot to kill her doctor ex-husband has been postponed until January.
KNX News Craig Fiegener reported that Ahang Mirshojae did not enter a plea and her arraignment was postponed to Jan. 6th, 2025.
Outside the court, Mirshojae's attorney said that she was innocent, adding that she was very much surprised when she was arrested. He believes the evidence will exonerate her.
On Monday, Mirshojae was charged with one count of murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, including special circumstance allegations of lying in wait and murder for financial gain, according to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office.

District Attorney Nathan Hochman accused Mirshojae of hiring Evan Hardman, 41, and Sarallah Jawed, 26, to kill her ex-husband, Dr. Hamid Mirshojae.
“The civics of what Mirshojae actually did or did not do will again be the subject of the facts presented in a court of law,” Hochman said.
The ex-wife is currently being held without bail.
