Caltrans is warning drivers to avoid a stretch of the northbound I-5 through Burbank over the weekend.
“Starting tonight from 10:00 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, February 2nd, crews will reduce northbound I-5 to 2 lanes between Empire Avenue and Buena Vista Street,” Colleen Park with Caltrans told KNX News’ Jon Baird.
She added that officials will close all the lanes.
“For four-hour periods, early on Saturday and early on Monday between 10 a.m. and 5 a.m., all lanes will be closed, and detours will be routed through local streets,” she said.

While southbound lanes will not be affected, some on-ramps and off-ramps may be closed.
