Family members of those detained by ICE agents on Friday are calling for their immediate release and demand they be protected from deportation.
"I'm here today on behalf of my father and the dozens of families who were kidnapped by ICE," one speaker said Monday, standing outside the Ambiance warehouse, where raids took place. "What happened that day was a very traumatizing scene. I witnessed how they put my father in handcuffs, chained him from the waist and from his ankles," she recalled.

Another speaker called the situation "simply a nightmare. A nightmare that our own sanctuary city was complicit in creating." She said ICE agents first denied they were holding her loved one, and concerted efforts by a lawyer could only confirm he was there, but requests to speak with him were denied.
The group is also saying the detainees are not being allowed legal assistance.
It's unclear exactly how many people were detained Friday, and it is believed some of them are still being held in Los Angeles. However, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass has said she has information that some detainees have been moved outside of Los Angeles County.
