A 15-year-old Los Angeles girl hasn’t been seen or heard from in over a week, and her family is reaching out to the public for help.
Michelle Gieselle Lopez was dropped off by her mother at the Edward R. Roybal Learning Center on the morning of Oct. 12. Security cameras captured the teen leaving school at 3 p.m. that afternoon. Her family hasn’t heard from her since.
“It’s out of her character to do this, especially not to reach out to us, or for her phone to be completely off,” Michelle’s sister said.
A couple days before she disappeared, Michelle reportedly had an argument with her mother about a belly button piercing and a boyfriend. But if she ran away, her family isn’t sure who she could be staying with. Michelle’s friends haven’t heard from her since her disappearance, and she isn’t with her boyfriend and his family.
Michelle is 5 foot 3 inches and 140 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a visible scar on her forehead. She was last seen wearing dark blue pants, a black jacket, and black tennis shoes.
