LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. (KNX) - Fire crews are battling a brush fire in the Angeles National Forest after a vehicle caught fire, according to multiple reports.

The fire started at Bouquet and Spunky Canyon, just north of Santa Clarita, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.


Angeles National Forest said just before 3 p.m. that the fire is spreading at a “moderate rate” and that forest staff, as well as crews from the L.A. County Fire Department and other departments are responding as well.

As of 3:30 p.m., the fire has burned between 50 to 75 acres, according to City News Service.

No injuries have been reported at this time and no structures have been threatened.
