A fire damaged a vacant house Monday in the south Los Angeles area, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 6400 block of South Avalon Boulevard at 6:01 a.m. extinguished the flames in 18 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
