A large fire erupted inside a Compton warehouse on Tuesday.
It was first reported at t 10:50 a.m. he Magnesium Alloy Products Company building on Alameda St., according to KNX News’ Pete Demetriou.
Fire Chief Reignald Donnel said there was a heavy fuel load inside one of the open warehouse structure.
"We did catch it in this incipient phase so in the beginning stages of fire, we were able to get right on top of it and get the fire out as quick as possible.," he said.
Fire crews from Santa Fe Springs, Long Beach, Downey, Compton, L.A. County Fire, worked to take down the fire.
The fire was contained. The cause of it is under investigation.
