A three-story condo fire was knocked down Monday in the Pico-Robertson area of Los Angeles.

According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart, 32 firefighters responded to the 1400 block of South Crest Drive to a report of a residential fire that took at least 47 minutes to extinguish.

Stewart said the cause of the fire resulted from a pipe-sweating operation on the ground floor and traveled up the wall to the top floor.

"Crews worked to systematically open sections of the wall on each floor to reveal all fire and smoldering spots and ensure full extinguishment," Stewart said.

There were no reports of any injuries.
