Firefighters knock down fire at Hollywood apartment

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze at an apartment building Wednesday in Hollywood.

The fire was reported at 2:45 a.m. and fire crews responded to the 7200 block of West Hollywood Boulevard and Formosa Avenue where they found flames coming from a unit at the two-story, garden-style apartment building, said LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange.

It took 22 firefighters 15 minutes to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported.
