Bottles of unknown liquid attached to doors of Hollywood bank

Two bottles containing an unknown liquid were attached to the doors of a Wells Fargo bank in Hollywood on Monday morning.

Firefighters and police responded to the 1600 block of North Vine Street around 8:45 a.m.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, there was a “chemical investigation of two, one-gallon bottles of an unknown liquid taped to the front doors of a bank.”

LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart told KNX News' Brian Ping it could it could take a while before things are back to normal.

"There are no reported medical complaints," she said. "There's no hazard at this time. It's a static situation."

Streets near the area were closed but have since reopened.

There's no word at this time regarding who attached the bottles to the bank door.
