UPDATE 11:54 A.M.:

A flash flood warning was issued Southern Los Angeles County and Southeastern Ventura County.

The following areas are under flash flood warning until 7:45 p.m.:

- Los Angeles
- Long Beach
- Glendale
- Thousand Oaks
- Simi Valley
- Malibu
- Hollywood
- Beverly Hills
- Universal City
- Griffith Park
- Culver City
- Inglewood
- Burbank
- North Hollywood
- Venice
- Santa Monica
 - Van Nuys
- Encino
- Manhattan Beach
- Alhambra
- Hermosa Beach

The National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a flash flood warning in the Antelope Valley, Los Angeles County Mountains, and the Santa Clarita Valley.

“Rainfall rates of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour will be common,” the NWS said. “Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area."

The warnings will remain in effect until 6:30 p.m.
