Forward progress stopped for brush fire in Montecito Heights

A vegetation fire burning in Montecito Heights was held to less than half an acre by fire crews Friday.

The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. Friday, burning at 5010 North Griffin Ave., in the Ernest E. Debs Regional Park in Montecito Heights, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Air operations were deployed to execute water drops and the forward progress had been stopped just after 7 a.m.

No injuries or structural damages were reported.
