Wounded men refusing to cooperate in West Hollywood shooting investigation

Four men found wounded in a shooting Friday morning are refusing to cooperate with the investigation, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Three of the men were found with gunshot wounds around 4:18 a.m. Friday, in the 8400 block of Fountain Avenue in West Hollywood.

As deputies blocked off the area, they found another man wounded about a block from where the first three were found.

LASD Sgt. Tanner Sanchez said all four men were taken to Cedars Sinai where they are being treated for their injuries.

In a twist, sheriff's investigators said none of the wounded are cooperating with the investigation. Based on what they've been told by witnesses, investigators believe that at least two male suspects were involved in the shooting.

A woman who lives right next to where some of the shootings happened said she heard gunfire and saw one of the men trying to break through her fence in an attempt to get away. She said she later saw him struggling up the hill due to at least one gunshot wound.

Deputies found a pile of clothes and a large stain in the street next to her home, near the Fountain Avenue and Olive Drive intersection, and are investigating whether both are related to the shootings.

Several streets in the area are currently blocked off as investigators continue to canvas the area and search for anything related to the overnight crime.

Anyone with information, or surveillance footage that can assist in the investigation, is asked to contact the Sheriff's Department.

This is a developing story. KNX will continue to update as details become available.
