In a court transcript obtained by Rolling Stone Magazine this week, during a Los Angeles County grand jury proceeding on Oct. 26, 2021, Ryan Fischer said one the suspects jumped out of a car. He pointed a gun at Fischer, demanding that Fischer hand over Gaga’s three dogs, Gustav, Asia and Koji.

When Fischer denied, a struggle ensued.

Fischer said the suspect pushed him onto the ground and started choking him. It was then Fischer said he hit the man with a champagne bottle he had just purchased. That caused Fischer to break free and reach for Koji.

“The dog screamed at me, and I reached for him, and then the guy, the man with the gun shot me as I was reaching,” Fischer explained.

The suspects fled with Gustav and Koji. Fischer testified he used “hand signals” to tell Asia to stay hidden.

Fischer was taken to the hospital. On Feb. 26, 2021, Koji and Gustav were returned to Gaga.

The suspects, identified as James Howard Jackson, 18, Jaylin Keyshawn White, 19, and Lafayette Shon Whaley, 27, were arrested.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Jennifer McBride who reported to police she found the dogs, was a charged with “one count each of being an accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property.” It was revealed she had a relationship with one of the suspects’ fathers, Harold White. White was also charged “being an accessory after the fact.”

Everyone arrested and charged in the incident plead not guilty.

In a post on Instagram, Lady Gaga called Fischer “forever a hero.”

In an interview with CBS Morning’s Gayle King, Fischer praised Gaga and called her a friend.

“After I was attacked, my family was flown out and I had trauma therapists flown to me. I stayed at her house for months while friends comforted me and security was around me,” he said.
