Los Angeles is getting four additional coronavirus vaccination sites -- including one at Ritchie Valens Recreation Center in Pacoima.
Healthcare workers who do not have access to be vaccinated through their workplaces can register and receive the vaccine shots.
Mayor Eric Garcetti says with four new vaccinations sites, along with four others that opened previously, Los Angeles will soon be able to vaccinate 2,000 people every day.
The Mayor also predicts that some 6,700 medical service providers will be vaccinated in a week.
He also explained that the vaccination sites were chosen for neighborhoods that are being particularly hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
