Only two home burglaries occurred in Glendale last week – significantly less than previous weeks, according to police. Sgt. Victor Jackson claims the reduction is due to the department’s newly formed Residential Burglaries Task Force.
“In weeks prior, we’ve had numbers as high as double digits, so to get that number down to two is a significant decrease,” Jackson told KNX News’ Margaret Carrero.
Jackson said the task force, created in late November, has increased patrols in residential areas in recent weeks, including air support and undercover officers.
The task force has so far made no arrests.
