“Emilia Pérez,” “The Brutalist,” and “Shogun” were among the big winners at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes on Sunday.

“Emilia Pérez” nabbed Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy and Best Motion Picture in Non-English Language. Its star Zoe Saldana won Best Supporting Actress in Any Movie. The movie also won Best Original Song.

“The Brutalist” won Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Director. It’s star Adrien Brody won Best Acttor in a Motion Picture Drama.

Fernanda Torres won Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her performance in "I'm Still Here.” Torres’ mother, actress Fernanda Montenegro, was nominated in the same category 25 years ago - something Torres touched on in her speech.

Demi Moore won Best Supporting Actress in Any Role for her performance in “The Substance," the first time she's won a major acting award.
During her speech, Moore shared a story in which she was told by a producer 30 years ago that she was a “popcorn actress.”

"At the time I made that mean that this wasn’t something I allowed to have,” she said. “That I could do movies that were successful but that I couldn't be acknowledged, and I bought in and I believed that.”

Sebastian Stan, a double nominee, won Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy his performance in “A Different Man.” During his speech, Stan said, “Our ignorance and discomfort around disability and disfigurement has to end now.” In the film, Stan played a man with neurofibromatosis who undergoes a medical procedure to change his looks.

“Wicked” took home the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

In the television category, FX’s “Shogun” swept the major categories, including Best TV Drama and Best Actor and Actress in a TV Drama Series (won by Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai.)

HBO’s “Hacks” was another big winner of the night as it took home Best TV Musical or Comedy Series and Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy Series (won by Jean Smart.)

Usual award show darling “The Bear” only nabbed one award which was Best Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen White, who was not in attendance.

“Baby Reindeer” nabbed two awards – Best Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Supporting Actress on Television (won by Jessica Gunning.)

Actor Sebastian Stan also has two chances to win as he was nominated in both lead actor categories for his performance as Donald Trump in “The Apprentice” and for his role in “A Different Man.”

The Hostess with the Mostest

Comedian Nikki Glaser served as emcee to what she called "Ozempic's biggest night."

While she's known for her comedy roast performances, including Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady,” she told the stars inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom she was not here to roast them.

“You’re all so famous, so talented, so powerful, I mean you could really do anything – I mean, except tell the country who to vote for,” she joked.

Glaser also poked fun at movie stars making the leap to television and managed to squeeze in a Diddy joke, calling the movie "Challengers" "more sexually charged than Diddy's card."

"The afterparty is not going to be as good this year, but we have to move on," she joked.

If you missed the Golden Globes, you can watch it on Paramount +.
