LOS ANGELES (KNX) – California Governor Gavin Newsom announced he’s joining Truth Social.

The Democrat announced he was joining former president Donald Trump’s site to so he could call out “Republican lies.”

“This could get…interesting,” Newsom said on Twitter.

The governor posted a video saying, “…I know we’re all on this platform in search to the ‘truth.’ But the truth is I’ve not been able to find a simple explanation for the fact that we have a red state murder problem.”

Truth Social, which is run by former California Rep. Devin Nunes, was launched in February after Trump was banned from Twitter following the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.
