Have you heard of 'snake yoga' yet?
You may have heard of hot yoga, candlelight yoga and even goat yoga, but have you heard of snake yoga?
Listen to KNX News this week to learn more about this unique exercise experience in the L.A. area with reporter Nataly Tavidian. She checked out the program at LXR Yoga in Costa Mesa.
LXR describes its snake yoga class as a “spine-chilling, yet fulfilling experience,” that takes place in a small, private setting with a limit of four attendees in the downstairs, non-heated part of the studio. There, ball pythons will be “mindfully incorporated” into a gentle, 60-minute yoga class. Every yogi gets their own snake as well as a mat and an esstentia bottled water.

Participants will get a 10-minute instruction session in snake handling as well as 5 minutes for photos. There’s also an option to have the class recorded on video. Prices start at $160 for one to three people and a fourth can be added for $50. With the price comes a complimentary drop-in credit and a feature on the studio’s Instagram friends highlight section.
Snake yoga is available from noon to 2 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. LXR Yoga requests bookings 48 hours in advance.
