President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” included new opportunities for significant IRS refunds, like no tax on tips or overtime. Free Tax Prep Los Angeles opened 100 locations across Southern California on Thursday, where most taxpayers can get their IRS returns filed for free.
The service is available for people making up to $70,000 a year.
“You're coming in with a W-2, or you're self-reporting that there are tips, you're going to get some relief,” Audrey Casias told KNX News’ Craig Fiegener. “There's up to $12,500 in that deduction.”
Seniors and homeowners may also see some relief.

“There's an increase with this tax law legislation. It is temporary, so it starts this year and it'll sunset in 2028,” she said.
