Here's where you can register and vote early in LA County
Saturday is the first day that early voting centers are open in locations throughout California covered by the Voter’s Choice Act.
Registered voters from the following counties can cast their votes for 10 days leading up to election day, Nov. 5: Alameda, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Fresno, Humboldt, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Merced, Napa, Nevada, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Benito, San Diego, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Ventura, and Yolo.
“The Voter’s Choice Act makes voting easier and more flexible. You can vote how, when, and where it’s convenient for you – whether at a vote center, using a drop box, or voting by mail. You can even register to vote and cast your ballot on the same day at any vote center,” said a press release about early voting. More information about the act is available at vca.sos.ca.gov.
At the centers, voters can also get replacement ballots, use accessible voting machines and get help in languages other than English. To find the nearest vote center or drop box, prospective voters can visit caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov.
