Historic Second Samoan Church damaged in Long Beach fire

A fire in Long Beach damaged the historic Second Samoan Church Sunday night.

The flames started in the attic and burned for a while before firefighters were able to get it under control.


The church is located at the intersection of Seventh and Cedar, near downtown Long Beach. It was built in 1924 and is registered as a national historic place.
