A home invasion suspect was stabbed Friday in Winnetka after a confrontation with the residents.

Officers responding to reports of a burglary around 4:12 a.m. in the 20100 block of Elkwood Street found the suspect, described only as a man in his 20s, bleeding, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was first confronted by the family's adult daughter, then by the father, which led to a physical altercation that apparently culminated with the suspect being stabbed.
