
LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Investigators are searching for a possible arsonist following a fire in a carport in the Fairfax District.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of N Curson Avenue. Two cars were destroyed in the fire while one was damaged, according to Fox 11.
Saturday’s fire comes after there were two car fires reported on June 7 in the same area. One occurred at 3:27 a.m. on N Sycamore Avenue, while the other occurred at 5:22 a.m. on S Orange Drive, KABC-7 reported.
L.A. Fire Department Captain Erik Scott told KNX News they're working closely with the police to see if an arsonist is responsible for the fires.
“The LAFD Arson Counterterrorism section is aware of a potential arsonist in the Fairfax area and we do have an active ongoing investigation at this time,” he said.
