Greenblatt's Deli and Fine Wines is a staple in West Hollywood. The restaurant was a favorite among stars like Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe, and Kirk Douglas, who in a letter to the restaurant said, "There are some institutions that must always exist. Greenblatt’s Deli is one of them. You are almost as old as I am."

But could Sunset Boulevard be losing its iconic restaurant after 95 years? According to reports by The Hollywood Reporter and Eater Los Angeles, the doors could be closed for good as of 8 p.m. on Wednesday

The Hollywood Reporter said it was at the delicatessen and heard a staffer tell a customer the entire place will close its doors for good after 8 p.m.

Eater Los Angeles said an unnamed source told them the restaurant was closing "due to the difficulty of running the business and finding staff." The source also told Eater Los Angeles that owner Jeff Kavin wanted to close before the Jewish holiday because it's a busy time for the restaurant.

The restaurant has not made an official announcement. KNX 1070 News reached out to the restaurant, but no one picked up. KNX 1070 reporter Claudia Peschiutta reached out to someone who identified himself as Kavin, who told her he wasn't talking to anyone today.

Many fans of the restaurants, including those in the entertainment industry, are remembering the iconic delicatessen.

Actor Henry Winkler tweeted "When I arrived in Los Angeles I lived right up the street...got a tune on rye everyday...THANK YOU Greenblatt's Deli..!!"
