An Israeli woman spoke with KNX News’ Emily Valdez about what life has been like since the start of the war with Iran.

Yasmin Sayeh lives in Modi'in, which is about halfway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel. She said that for the last five days, she and her family have been bombarded with missiles from Iran.

“The rockets that Iran is sending are very, very strong rockets, if I may,” she said. “We understand that the safe room we have in our apartment is not, you know, 100% safe, which means basically we have seen a lot of people that got hit, that were in a safe room or under the ground. And when the rocket directly got into that specific space, it's  done.

She said she has been able to go out to the market and pick up some food before the sirens started again, and she has to go back to the bomb shelters.

“We're doing our best, and that's again, that's the safest place we can be, but you understand nothing is 100%, so that's what makes it a little bit harder,” she said. “But thank God I'm here and I'm healthy, happy. But I think it's important for us to understand that these wars are very, very hard and complicated, and people are dying.”

At least 10 Israeli's have been killed and hundreds injured in the barrage of missiles from Iran.
