Jury selection began Monday in the civil case of Rebecca Grossman, the Los Angeles socialite convicted in the hit-and-run murders of two young Westlake Village boys.
The parents of 11-year-old Mark Iskander and his 8-year-old brother, Jacob, are suing Grossman and her then-boyfriend and former MLB player Scott Erickson for the boys’ deaths in 2020.
Grossman was convicted in 2024 and is currently serving a sentence of 15 years to life in prison. An appeals court upheld her sentence in 2026.
The civil trial is expected to last about two months and the parents of the two boys are also expected to testify.
