INDIO, Calif. (KNX) — Kanye West will take the main stage at Coachella as the headliner for the 2022 festival, according to sources who informed Billboard and the Los Angeles Times.
West — who now goes by simply ‘Ye’ — is expected to confirm the final details on his back-to-back weekend-closing performances on two Sundays, April 17 and 24.
Easter falls on April 17 this year, and Ye’s performance will reportedly be reminiscent of his Sunday Service gospel show and album. West performed a similar set at Coachella in 2019.

Festival promoter Goldenvoice could make an official announcement in the coming days, the Times said, speculating the performance roster could also include Billie Eilish.
In early December, Kanye teamed up with Drake for a benefit show at the L.A. Coliseum spotlighting former Chicago gang leader Larry Hoover, serving six life sentences. He released his new album “Donda,” in August.
It’s unclear how the surge in Omicron variant infections could impact Coachella’s long-awaited return.
