It’s the first weekend of summer – but don’t go running to the beach just yet.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a warning to avoid swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters at 10 area beaches due to elevated bacterial levels.

Santa Monica Canyon Creek at Will Rogers State Beach
Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu
Sweetwater Canyon Storm Drain at Carbon Canyon Beach
Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey
Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach
Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica
Trancas Creek at Zuma Beach
Malibu Pier in Malibu
Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
Escondido Creek at Escondido State Beach
