On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs will open applications for the Los Angeles County Rent Relief Program.
Through the department, the county will be offering $68,666,000 in grants to qualified landlords through the rent relief program.
“This program will provide direct financial assistance to landlords to help them mitigate the detrimental economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulted in tenants’ inability to stay current on their rent,” according to the website.
Applicants may be able to receive up to $30,000 per unit.
Landlords who qualify must have their property located within the Los Angeles County but not in the city and those units must still be occupied by impacted tenants.
Applications open at 9 a.m. and will be available at https://lacountyrentrelief.com/.
