Steven Frasher, 62, has been a planning commissioner since 2012 and a public information officer for L.A. County Public Works since 2015. He previously worked for the Glendale Unified School District and the Riverside Police Department, and ran unsuccessfully for Redlands City Council in 2020.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant on Frasher’s Redlands home after receiving a tip that he was downloading child pornography from the internet.
“The suspect was found to be in possession of numerous images of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on his electronic devices,” SBSD said in a press release.
Frasher was booked into San Bernardino County Central Detention Center with bail set at $30,000.
