L.A. police lockdown school after report of student with gun

Los Angeles police locked down Alliance William & Carol Ouchi High School Tuesday morning after a report of a student with a gun on campus.

Police said they received the call at 8:54 a.m. regarding the possibility of a student with a handgun inside the public charter school.

Officers responded and students sheltered in place inside the building on 5th Ave. in Hyde Park.

An LAPD spokesperson said officers were actively searching the campus and the school remained on lockdown into the afternoon.
