Now that the deadly Palisades and Eaton fires that collectively claimed the lives of 29 people have been 100% contained, the focus has shifted to the long road to recovery.

When the windstorm National Weather Service forecasters said was the worst to hit the region since 2011 finally calmed down, and the smoke cleared, the Palisade Fire had burned 23,707 acres, while the Eaton Fire burned 14,021.

Thousands of structures were damaged or destroyed in the blazes, with more than 6,837 buildings lost in the Palisades Fire alone, and the community's unwavering support will be crucial in helping those affected to rebuild their lives.
