Los Angeles County is considering a potential curfew in an effort to slow the deluge of coronavirus cases.
The county’s Department of Public Health will present its case to the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, and the board will make a decision regarding a curfew that would not shutter businesses completely, but limit operations.
In addition to the idea of a curfew, the county is discussing canceling Thanksgiving plans involving several families gathering together.
"We all now are smart, and we know the difference between stupid behavior and smart behavior," Mayor Eric Garcetti said. "There will be people who die because of our behavior if we don't go back to that disciplined way that in March, April and May we were able to bend this curve down."
