Los Angeles County has just recorded its highest daily coronavirus death count since the summer.
Eighty six lives were lost on Tuesday.
The Department of Public Health is also reporting more than 11,000 new cases of COVID-19.
That number is inflated, because it includes cases from the weekend.
As expected, hospitalizations in LA County keep on climbing. More than 4,400 people are hospitalized now, with 21-percent of them in ICU beds.
Health officials have predicted hospitalizations could reach 5,000 by the coming weekend.
