A hiker was rescued Friday after she got stuck about 150 feet down a draw in a canyon near 1900 North Runyon Canyon Road, L.A. Fire officials said.
The initial call was for a woman believed to be injured, but LAFD soon found that she was simply stuck due to the steep terrain.
A rescuer was able to reach the 29-year-old, and crews used a rope system to safely lower both the woman and rescuer to a point where they could easily walk the rest of the way to the bottom, LAFD said.
