LAPD detectives investigating deadly hit-and-run

The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division is investigating a hit-and-run that left a man dead.

Officials said on Sept. 17, Demetrio Bravopas was crossing 112th and Central Ave at 10:25 p.m. when he was hit by a car.

South Traffic Bureau Detective Ryan Moreno told KNX 1070 News the Mercedes that hit Bravopas made a quick U-turn and stayed at the location for a few seconds before driving off after other cars hit Bravopas.

Detectives said they are waiting for two other videos from the MTA buses.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the driver; however, officials hope the driver turns themselves in.
