Man killed in LAPD shooting in Reseda

A shooting involving the Los Angeles Police Department in the Reseda area Thursday left a man dead.

Officers and a SWAT team went to the 7900 block of Reseda Boulevard about 4:45 a.m.
Thursday to serve a warrant in a robbery investigation, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

About 5 a.m., the wanted man jumped from a third-floor balcony, allegedly armed with a rifle, and was shot by police, the LAPD reported.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said. Information on his identity was not immediately available. No one else was injured.

According to Fox11, the man was wanted in connection with armed robberies of armored vehicles.
