Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic detectives are trying to identify two women who were hit during a street takeover on April 14.
The incident happened at Manchester Ave. and San Pedro St.. KNX News’ Margaret Carrero reported that a video shows several people standing in the street right before they got hit by a red Infinity G37 doing donuts.
“Two of the females that are struck appear to be in their early twenties, late teens; one of them appears to be severely injured,” said LAPD Detective Ryan Moreno. “Monitoring, looking into this video, there was no crime reported that night. There was no report made, no calls to 9-1-1.”
There is a $25,000 reward for any information that leads detectives to the identity, arrest, and conviction of the driver in the hit-and-run.

Moreno said that police started monitoring online chatter in the street racing community and intercepted some conversations that led them to believe there was a chance one of the women died.

“We don't know who she is, where she is, or how serious her injuries are,” he said. “So, one of the reasons we're here right now is we want to try to identify this person to make sure that she's okay.”
